Open for 2021!

Welcome back for another season! We are thrilled that this one is looking a bit different from last year, and hope everyone is holding up after all the challenges we have been through.

We will be open every day from now til mid October, 10-6 on weekdays and 10-5 on weekends. The crops are looking great, and we will have our own beautiful kale, chard, herbs, onions, garlic, and flowers as well as our famous honey at that stand, supported by great berries, cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, and more from our farmer friends around the state.

Corn will be in on Saturday!

Thanks for all of your continued support, we can’t wait to see you at the stand!

Opening Day 2020!

What a year it has been so far! We are anxious to get the stand open, and provide a safe, outdoor shopping experience for all of our wonderful customers. This year, a few things will look a little different, but the vegetables, fruit and flowers you have come to rely on us for will be the same.

We have made a few changes to the flow and shopping protocol at the stand. We will be asking customers to wear masks, and will be allowing limited customers into the stand area at a time. Please expect some longer wait times as we work through our new systems—we are committed to the health and safety of our customers as well as our valued employees.

So looking forward to seeing half your faces when we open on Wednesday, July 1! We will have all the usual favorites. It’s time to celebrate summer with the best produce the state has to offer. Thank you for your support!

THANK YOU for a wonderful 2019 Season

Once again the summer has come and gone, and while it is still feeling summery, our fields are being put to rest for the year. Thank you for continuing to support our little family farm. Time and again this season Andy and I have been blown away by the kindness and loyalty of our customers, and we are truly grateful for our local community. We are also grateful for the hard work and dedication of our wonderful employees. We could not do it without you!

We are excited to begin planning for 2020. The growing season in 2019 was one of our best yet (especially for tomatoes!) and we will continue to hone what we do to serve Newington with the finest in local produce!

OPEN for the 2019 Season!

We are open! Please come see us 10-6 every weekday, and 10-5 on the weekends. Despite the slow spring, we are offering sweet corn, tomatoes, green beans, snap peas, lettuce, beets, radishes, and much more. We can’t wait to provide your fresh veggies!

2018 Season Recap

With November knocking, and a nor’easter blowing outside, I find I finally have a moment to sit down and share the ups and downs of the past season here at Eddy Farm. As a farmer friend of ours recently said, 2018 was hot, weedy, and we won’t be sorry to see it go, but we must celebrate the bad along with the good. Despite the summer’s discomforts, we managed to have one of our best seasons yet, and we are so grateful to all of our loyal customers for making that possible.

Growing just about anything this year was a challenge, but we were very happy to bring back a customer favorite, fresh potatoes, for 2018 as well as offering plenty of our farm grown garlic, tomatoes, peppers, kale, chard, and herbs. It was a particularly banner year for kale, so you lucked out if you’re a fan of our greens!

Our farm stand staff was as always a delight to work with, and we continue to be grateful for the help of so many kind, thoughtful, polite young people.

In addition to the farm stand, our business grew significantly this season as Haley and her team took on double the amount of weddings as last year. We grew many more flowers (also chemical free) and helped 35 couples celebrate with local beauty on their wedding day. We also sold flowers through the farm stand and through a Spring subscription as well as wholesale to many other floral designers in the state, harvesting thousands upon thousands of stems.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our wonderful customers and staff who not only support our business but also our family, our staff, and small farms throughout the region. Have a wonderful, productive, restful winter!
